Day 1 #behappychallenge
It’s been a rough week. My Grandma had been in the ICU for 2 weeks and on Sunday I got a phone call that my sister was flying to Florida to see her. Basically, it was “if you want to see her this side of heaven, the time to see her is now.” And so, we went. We were able to see her and spend some time with her before her passing. It was a bittersweet and emotional time, but one I am thankful for.
As some point on our 15+ hour van ride home, I came across pin and decided June would be a good time to give it a go and (hopefully) get back into writing. (After a little more digging, I found out this is originally from June 2013, and the original blog has been taken down. Wah-wah. Oh well.)
Something beautiful to me is watching my husband interact with our daughter. He has a way of holding her and loving her that always brings a smile to my face. It makes me hopeful that she will know how a man should treat a woman, because of how he treats me, and how he will treat her. He enjoys spending time with her, and wants to continue doing so. These last couple days of the viewing and service for my Grandma definitely confirmed the beauty in my mind. It’s a beautiful thing.
See what I mean? A Daddy and his daughter. It’s a beautiful thing. #behappychallenge
